Questions About Magic Bands

The Magic Bands arrived the other day and I have some questions.


1. Can they be used for Magical Express?

2. Can they be used for dining plan?

3. I saw something about a PIN for purchases. Does anyone know if this is active now? I was never asked to setup a PIN.

I have heard it will be used for ME but we don't use it so not sure if its active yet

The pin is set up when you check in. Although on my last trip a week ago they never set one up but when I used a pin the first time I checked out at a place it worked and I just used the same one.

Yes your DP is on there too. Everytime I went to use my band to charge the room they asked if it was charge or dining plan.

Not sure about ME. I am guessing hat due to the procedures that even if used, you will still need to check in with a live person.

Yes, your dining points will be on the bands. Not sure if that has been completed yet, but the plan is to have everything on the band so you do not need a card.

You select your PIN when you check in at the resort. You do not get one, the CM will ask you to enter it into the key pad when the charge option is set up with your cc.

Still testing at certain resorts. The CM I talked to before our trip said they are expecting to go live before the end of the yr. So a good chance all will be using them in Dec.

ME is on your bands. When I customized ours for October it said to make sure they are packed in our carry ons because we will need them for ME check in.
