sorry if this is a dumb question but can you stay at the Disney resort without being a DVC member?? my guess is no but thought I would check.
I am semi planning a surprize getaway for our 10th anniversary and the Hilton head area looks fun.
Any advise or fun things to do in the area would be great.
Also our anniversary is in Feb ~ how is the weather then ?? or should I just do the anniversary trip in the spring of next year??
thanks for your help and any info would be great ~ I have never been to SC before

Yes, you do not have to be a member to stay HH. You can call WDW reservations and make a ressie. Occasionally the Disney Visa will have specials during the off season if you use your CC to pay.

We became members in 1998 by looking for a different location to vacation. I found HH resort on the web and took them up on their offer. The rest is history.

We were just there in February. The weather was decent, mid to upper 60's.

Some people staying at HHI don't even know what DVC is! I remember sitting in Big Murgie's Den one day, watching the DVC video for about the thousandth time and a man came in with his wife. "Honey, maybe we should join that club..."[chuckle]"I wonder if you get to stay here for free!"
We went last February (2004), the weather was horrible-cold, rainy, 40's. Oh, yeah-we had a wonderful time-after all it was HHI!

For off season it's easy and cheap to trade in with any ole timeshare.
