Questions about Garden Grocer Delivery

This will be our first time using Garden Grocer, and I have a couple of questions:

When GG delivers to a WDW resort, what does the WDW staff do with your perishible items? I think I remember that there is refrigerated storage for things like this, but I wanted to check.

I'm thinking of having the delivery time scheduled for a couple of hours before we arrive. Is that a good idea, timing-wise?

If you decide to order wine or beer, how does GG verify that someone over the age of 21 is available to sign for it? Is it the WDW staff who provide ID, or do you have to be available yourself? Everyone in our group is waaaay over 21 :rotfl: so that's not a worry, but how does GG handle this?

Thanks in advance for the replies!

WDW will put your groceries in a cooler for you. Last year at the BC I saw the cooler its a huge one like the grocery stores have where they keep the pizza's.

I am sure that they have someone over 21 sign for the wine

Don't worry about it Disney will take good care of your things.

The over 21 thing. I took a photo of my license and emailed it to garden grocer. You could also fax it I believe. It was really easy

That's great to know! Thank you both so much for the info.

I have used before was very easy. Will say after you tip everyone depending on what your getting can be costly. Lol. If adult beverage is what your looking for the Hess station right in downtown disney very easy to get to and from on the bus. Round trip during early in the day was less then an hour. Another option put a case in your suitcase have done this many times place in garbage bag just in case and it can fly with you. Even a bottle of wine in a map case has made the trip but I have notice wine does not seem as over priced as a can of beer is in the gift shop

OP here again! :)

I have placed my GG order and found out that they ask you to fax or email a copy of your driver's license to them (for our wine order), so that answers my question! Everything else seems to be on track,, so thanks to those who responded to my questions.

Five days till departure - woo hoo!:cool1:

We just ordered from them in Dec. 24 hours after we ordered they called to verify the order and I asked if I needed to fax my drivers license for the beer and they said no need.

Only complaint is they do not deliver to the room. We had a party of 9 so we had a large order (3 gallons of milk, 2.5 cases of beer, case of pop). You either have to haul it all to the room or pay bell services a nice top to deliver.
