Questions about FOOD!

We are planning to get the dining plan for our 7 day trip because we're all pretty big eaters and I want our older daughter to enjoy several of the character meals. She's 4, if that means anything!

My question is.. how exactly do the points work? How many does each person have per day, and how many do the different kinds of food service use up?

I think most character meals require two, right? So if you're planning to do a character meal that day, do you usually have breakfast in the room to save points? Skip snacks? Or..?

And if you're getting table service, what's included? I'm sure there's a link for all of this.. I just can't find one!

And is it right that some other things use points, like the Luau at the Poly? I thought that I read that, but now I can't find it and I'm not sure if I was misreading!

Most Character Meals are only 1TS credit. CRT, MBBQ, and the dinner shows are 2 TS credits.

Each person gets 1TS, 1CS and one snack per night.

At a TS restaurant you will get a non-alcoholic drink, entree and a dessert (no dessert if it is breakfast). For CS you will get a drink, entree and a dessert or a combo meal (no dessert for breakfast) you can usually get an extra beverage at the resorts for breakfast.

Everyone eats differently so I can only tell you what I did: my niece and I shared chicken meals at Flame Tree and Cosmic Rays for either lunch or dinner at those two parks. She had a CS breakfast if we weren't doing a TS breakfast (she is lactose intollerant). We had a lot of snacks left as I usually just ate snacks that I packed or had a muffin for breakfast.
