My DH was able to get through this morning for the Fantasmic Dessert Buffet for Friday January 13th. This is a birthday present for me! :teeth: We have never done this before and I have a couple of questions.

We have Balcony Seating and DH said he got right in @ 8:00 am. Do they seat people according to order of ticket sales? There is only 1 show for the 13th does that mean we can stay on the balcony and try to catch some of the fireworks after fantasmic? How early should we show up for the dessert buffet?

I am excited! I want all the information I can about what to expect for the dessert buffet! :teeth:

What a nice birthday present! I did this for my husband a couple of years ago for his birthday and it was a treat. Yes, the tickets are situated according to when you called. I have sat in both rows (actually did this twice) and thought the second row was as good as the first. They had arranged the chairs in a way to attempt to not have every single seat in the second row directly behind a chair in the first row. Also, if you are second row, nobody is behind you so you can stand if necessary and if you have kids they can do what ours did, sit on their knees for a great view. I know some people have reported a column blocking their view but we didn't have this problem.

I believe they ask you to arrive 30 minutes early. You go upstairs and check in, if they are not ready for you, you can look around the gallery and they will come and get you. Don't eat a big dinner, they have tons of desserts, as well as fruit, cheese, and crackers, and for what you are paying, you need to pig out!

And yes, you can stay and watch the fireworks afterwards.

We just did this last week and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Your ticket will say to check in an hour before but they really take your ticket and name about 1/2 hour before. They do seat you based on your call in order. However there are only about 20 seats so I don't think there really is a bad one.

You meet in the courtyard outside the Disney Gallery and are taken in to your seat. There you are asked for your drink order (soft drinks and coffee) and are invited to the buffet. It is fun to sit and people watch - the crowds below us were crazy and it was nice to be up there!

Very nice selection of desserts and cheeses. We were able to stay for the fireworks even though they were a bit delayed on the night we were there.

Enjoy!
