Ok, my daughters chorus group at her school will get to sing at WDW and Universal next year during fall break. I think it will be the week of Columbus Day. First of all, how are the crowds that time of year? How about the weather? Next, won't the halloween party be going on around this time? I've never read up on it, so I'm not sure how that works. Do the parks close earlier than usual for the party? They usually go during Spring Break but have decided to go during Fall break next year instead. The Chorus teacher is wonderful, but he is a tad scattered brained. So, I'm afraid he hasn't researched things like this. The great thing is, I get to be a chaperone!!! And part of my trip, if not all of it, will be paid for!!     I am so very excited. There will be a parent meeting soon to discuss the trip, and I'd like to have to facts to pass along if possible. TIA!!!

 During the month of October, both Universal and Disney have Special Halloween nights (about 16 nights each) at their parks. These nights are usually Thur - Sun. They charge a separate admission to get in. The parks usually close around 6pm and reopen at 7pm after the day guests are ushered out. As a scareactor at Universal, I can tell you that Universal's "Halloween Horror Nights" are more intense and scary than Disney's, "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween.". If you have small children, go to Disney. The crowds are less during this time of year, however both parks tend to employ less people and especially the roller coasters usually have less trains running, so a long wait sometimes still happens. The weather is still hot in the daytime but tends to be cooler in the evenings. Hope this helps...

Thank you Elias. That does help some. I think we will be there Oct. 8- 15. Do you know if this will be during those parties? I would love to go to each, but I doubt that will be possible with the school group. I'm afraid that we are going to be jipped on park hours by going this time of year. Either way, I guess I can't complain, I'll be going for little to nothing. I will be sure to bring this up at the parent meeting though.

Yes during the time you are going, the MNSSHP will be going on. The first party night is Sep. 30th. The last is Halloween. Luckily my bday is the 28th and they will have a party that night on a Friday and the night before. Now I gotta figure out what night I want to go to. People are saying that Friday night parties, espically the one right before Halloween will sell out quickly.
