Questions about exchanging Air Miles certificates for Disney World tickets and Fast Pass

Hello,

I have ordered 7 day passes via Airmiles in February 2017. I have a few questions about using them.

1. Where is the best place (i.e. shortest line up) to exchange Air Miles certificates for the tickets if I have to exchange the tickets on the first day I plan to go to the parks?

2. Does DW have a ticket booth anywhere outside of Disney World (i.e. in Disney Springs) for us to exchange the tickets a day before going to the parks?

3. Since I have Air Miles certificates, does it mean I can not book Fast Passes until I exchange the tickets?

4. I read online that in order to upgrade these tickets to 10 day tickets, I will have to pay the difference between the discounted tickets and regular price and than pay the difference between the regular priced 7 day ticket and 10 day ticket. Is that correct?

First things first .... Welcome to the DIS-boards, glad to see you here

1. Quietest guest service tends to be the International Gateway at Epcot (closest to the boardwalk)
2. You can go to any guest service on site, including the one at Disney Springs. Easy-peasy
3. You can most definitely get your FP+ booked using the exchange certificates you received from Airmiles. There's a number on them that you just enter into your MDE account and then assign them to each person. You will only be showing proof of residency when you arrive to show that you are in fact eligible to use the discounted tickets. You won't be receiving any other ticket media, they'll be attached to your MB if you have one OR if not, you will get a hard ticket to use.
4. Yes your math regarding upgrading these certificates is correct. You will in fact be losing any realized discounts once you upgrade them. Before you go, make sure you are aware of what you should be paying to do the upgrade. OR if you're going during a period there are parties (Halloween or Christmas) you might find tickets to those events are cheaper than your upgrade fee!!
