Questions about Dolphin

DH and DS are going for a "boys only" trip this weekend for the Star Wars events. They are staying at the Dolphin for the first time. I have some questions.

1. Can you have the resort fee waved if you don't want coffee and a newspaper?

2. Will a few bottles of water in the mini-bar fit and stay cold?

3. Is Tubbi's open for dinner?

4. Is there any other quicky place in the Dolphin open for dinner?

5. Is Splash at the Swan open at dinner time?

6. Can the Disney Visa reward dollars be used at the Dolphin?

Sorry for all the questions. I am very excited for them but now I wish dd and I were going as well

Yes, at least you could when I was there 5 years ago. Tell them when you check in.

It's a tough fit but sure.

It was when I was there.

Not that I remember and I haven't heard of them adding anything.
5. Is Splash at the Swan open at dinner time?
This would be a Swan question. I don't know anything about the Swan but believe that all the restaurants are open for dinner.
6. Can the Disney Visa reward dollars be used at the Dolphin?
I don't think they can but you could always call and ask.

You could try calling them and asking these questions as well. They really shouldn't mind answering them, and then you'll have it straight from the source.

Officially, no. They used to do this all of the time, but, stopped. He can still ask at check-in, but, be prepared to pay.

Not very cold. Ice in the sink would work better, or a small soft side cooler (like one of the six pack drink carriers)

Tubbi's is open 24 hrs a day

4. Is there any other quicky place in the Dolphin open for dinner?

The Dolphin Fountain is open. Burgers, BLT's, chicken strips, ice cream--the good stuff

5. Is Splash at the Swan open at dinner time?

No--just lunch


6. Can the Disney Visa reward dollars be used at the Dolphin?

I hope they have a great time. Just a little over two weeks and I'll be there,too--or at the Swan. Who knows? I'll be around there somewhere.

All of the posts that I have read lately have been saying that the Swan/Dolphin will not waive the resort fee, even if you do not use the immenities.
