questions about dining

I am curious how many character breakfasts do you do ? Also how many sit down restaurants do you do in one trip? I am trying to plan where I want to eat and then make reservations for them. Just looking for an average amount say in 1 week.
Do a lot of you eat at counter service mostly.
So far I really want to do Cinderella's breakfast or the Princess one in Epcot. THe rest of the breakies in our room . Probably lunch mostly counter service. Not sure about dinners yetCan anyone reccommend some great sit down restaurants to do . As you can tell this is my first time going. I was also thinking of doing the ice cream social.

What are the ages & how many in your Group? when DH & I go alone we have one PS per day maybe 2. This helps me try new places when we took DS(4) we did 3 char meals Chef mickeys first nite, Crystal Palace lunch & Cape may late Breakfast. we also still had one PS around dinner just incase, did not want to have him wait to long.

It would be my hubbie and me and my beautiful 5 year old daughter. By the time we go she will be 6. What ps do you make ? LOoking for reccomendations.

Diane:
Virtually every restaurant at WDW is "kid friendly", so no matter where you wind up, I think you'll be pleased.
We always make PS well in advance and eat at table service restaurants (mostly in the resort hotels).
Some of my favorite sit-down spots:
California Grill
Narcoosees
Jikos
Flying Fish

Since this is your first trip, I'd suggest taking things "easy" and don't overwhelm yourself. Remember too that any PS made is easily cancelled, in case your daily plans happen to change.

We usually make is a point to have PS for Dinner meal so we know we will have a good sit down once in the day. Even now when ( for 1st time) we will be childless except for 1 dinner my daughter will meet us I have made PS. This is a very short trip
( 3 nights 4 days) just to see DD march on Main Street with high school band but we are doing

LTT first night
Prime Cafe 6 friends and DD joining us!
Final night Big decision I have made PS for Morracco but never eaten at Canada before also staying at Dolphin and DH eyeing Shula's

We don't have to leave WDW until about 1:30 on final day so I might throw a World lunch in there but no ps.

We try to do 1 sit down meal per day. Occasionally it will work out to 2 though. As for character meals, we usually do 1 per trip.

Some of our favorite sit down dinners are Ohana, Kona Cafe, Mama Melrose, and ESPN(PS arent taken there though).

Hi,

We're going in a couple of weeks and we're planning one big sit down meal per dayin the park or at a resort. We will be there 7 days/6 nights. We're staying off-site so we may have a sit down meal outside of the park on days we leave early or come back. We've got one PS for a character breakfast early in the week and one for Chef Mickey's the last day of the trip ( we leave in the late afternoon). We plan on eating breakfast in our room or having an early lunch (with morning snacks) at counter services on most days. We're not huge breakfast eaters. This trip our sit down resturants will be: Boma (dinner), Whispering Canyon Cafe (dinner), 'Ohana's (dinner) and Brown Derby with the Fantasmic Package. As you can see we don't plan a sitdown dinner when we do a character breakfast. Our dd is younger than yours so that may influence you as well. HTH
