In February, Our family of four is visiting with my sister's family of five and another couple. Eleven people. While we won't eat every meal together we will probably want to do a couple of sitdowns, definitely a character breakfast in there somewhere.
First, reservations. Does our large party pose any challenges? Or does it depend on the restaurant? I seem to remember there is a problem about booking a large party for the breakfast at Cinderella's Castle.
Second, the bill. It's a big party so we're obviously going to want to just pay for our own families. When I go out with friends where were will be splitting the bill I always try to bring cash if I can to simplify things. I pay my portion in cash, either to the server or to the person who puts the whole thing on a CC. But on vacation I really don't want to have to have all that cash. There are two options but I feel like both are a burden to servers. First, separate checks... probably what we'd prefer but confusing to server. Then, one check which we split up... but if we don't have cash we run into this: "Can you put $64 on this card, $64 on this card and $48 on this card?" Seems troublesome too and a huge opportunity for mistakes to be made in calculating bills and tips.
What is everyone's experience with this in WDW? And if some servers could weigh in, I'd appreciate it, I've always wondered how they felt about this particular issue.
