Questions About Dining Plan

Hi All,

This upcoming trip will be our first time using the Dining Plan. We're using the mid-level one, and while we get the basic idea of it and have our reservations made, we do have a few more questions:

1) Is tax and gratuity included?
2) For the fast service meal, do you get a main dish, desert, and a drink?
3) Do all dinners include desserts and drinks too?
4) If we have reservations but decide to change something up last second, like the day of or day before, can we cancel our reservations without penalty?

Any other nuances we should be aware of as first timers?

Just jumping in here with a question to answer #1.....are we responsible for paying the taxes on the dining plan as we use the credits up???Or is that included in our totavacation payment?

Just to confirm on the taxes, lets say my wife and I go in and order a dinner on our dining plan which would have come out to 75 dollars.

Will they then bring us a bill just for the tax? I thought the gratuity might not be included, but I didnt know that the taxes werent.

Is the gratuity automatically added for small, 2 or 3 person parties too?

Tax is covered by the DDP. You will not get a bill for it.

Gratuity is not covered. Nor is it automatically added unless your party is 6 or more.

The drinks included in the plan are nonalcoholic and vary by restaurant. Some place include shakes or other nonalcoholic specialty drinks. Other places, it's the standard soda pop, milk, tea or coffee.

The first post briefly outlines the plans and a few of the bigger highlights of the plan. It also contains hyperlinks, which will take you to the specific post that details the dining plan that you're looking at.

Posts 2 - 4 outline the specific plans, as mentioned you can link to the specific plan that you're interested in by clicking on that plan in the first post.

There are a few places where confirmation is made up front with a cc, whether you have DDP or not. Those places do have a cancellation fee. CRT is an example of one of those places.
