We are staying at the Contemporary in August. Could someone please describe for me the transportation modes. I know we will be close enough to walk to MK. But, how about the Monorail? From pictures I have seen there appears to be two going thru the resort. What stops do each of these make? Also on the map it shows the bus stop in front of the North wing. Where do these busses go and does CR share busses with other resorts? Just trying to get it all figured out before we go, thanks!

I'm not sure about the bus service in regards to who is shares with. We only used it once, to get to MGM directly, and I don't remember it going anywhere but right there. As for the monorail, there is only 1 which stops there - it is the resort monorail. It will go from the Contemporary, to the TTC (where you can then get to Epcot by transferring monorails), the Polynesian, the Grand Floridian, and then the Magic Kingdom. You can take a boat to Wilderness Lodge and River Country/Fort Wilderness. To get to MGM, you can either take the monorail to Epcot, walk through and then take the boat to MGM, or take the bus. Bus service is also needed to Downtown Disney, Wide World of Sports.

Enjoy the Contemporary. We always do.

Thanks for the great info! It helps clear up some questions I had. Any other hints or suggestions for the contemporary?

Many of the contemporary busses are shared with the TTC. This can be a problem, since everyone and their mother seems to go to the TTC after a park closing. If you plan on staying in a park 'til closing, I would recomend that you have a little patience.
