Questions about celebrating birthday

DD will turn 3 the week after we get home from Disney. We planned our trip that week in honor of her upcoming birthday, and the fact that 2yo are free. So, I'm trying to figure out whether we should do any birthday activities while there or not. We're having b'fast with Cindy- can I get a cake for that occasion? If so, would it be odd to have a cake for b'fast?

I think Cindy's b'fast is the only ADR that we have, but maybe I should plan another one for later in that week, and have a cake then. Cindy is a pretty stand alone event, I expect. (BTW, should the girls dress up for Cindy's bfast? I'm concerned they'll be uncomfortable later in dressy clothes.)

GO for it!!! I had 2 kids with birthday while there.. had another daughter the week before and a son 4 weeks after. We did something special with each of them. For my oldest he was turning 15.. We surprised him with a cake and diver at the coral reef. Its nuts having all 4 kids birthdays withing 5 weeks of each other.

There is a great cake thread will all of the info you need and pictures of cakes people have ordered.

I would just take her to an ice cream shop and tell them its her birthday. I wouldn't spend extra on a cake. When my daughter turned 4 we went to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Villas and they made such a fuss. The turned the lights out, brought out a mickey sundae with a candle on it and the whole place sang to her. She remembers it much more than the princess lunch we took her to earlier in the day where I ordered a cake in advance and we never got it because they forgot. Half the princesses didn't see her birthday pin and didn't even mention it. For princess meals, I dress her up and then change her afterwards because those dresses are too itchy to wear all day.

Have a great trip!

Definately note it on all your ADR's some will do a cupcake others may not do anything but its worth a try. If you really want something special though you have to order it to be sure :)

Cindy's breakfast sounds like it will be a pretty busy affair w/o any birthday celebration. So if it were me I'd make another ADR maybe just before you go home and celebrate it then. If you order a cake be prepared to pay through the nose, but if you let them know when you make your ADR that it will be here birthday then they will usually do something special... at CP they gave DS a birthday sundae and a card signed by all of the characters and at CM they had a special birthday placemat and a birthday sundae.
Also, don't forget to stop at city hall in MK or at the customer service inthe other parks too for her birthday pin. Quite a few cm's and characters told him happy birthday.
