Questions about cancelling a room only reservation at WDW

If I need to cancel a room only reservation and it is under 5 days from check-in, can I modify instead to a future date and avoid losing my deposit?

I would call Disney instead of trying to manipulate your days of travel. Someone on another thread saying they found a way to get around this restriction doesn't mean it will work for everyone.

With having to test the day before you leave, it makes for a very nervous couple of days.

I plan on doing daily home tests the week we are leaving. Assuming testing is still required at that time (Nov/Dec).

Yup we are all doing the same thing. We leave Friday.


Called Disney and they said that you can modify if you are within the 5 day window. I wonder if you can then cancel that modification if things don't work out.
