Questions about Annual Pass

I am considering getting one annual pass for next year's mother-daughter WDW trip in Septembet because of the park hopping and BR discounts on resorts. I know from these boards that they are scheduled to change in February, but will the change be drastic? Was the BR price signifigantly higher this year from last?

Where do you find info about the Annual Pass and all the benefits it gives? On Disney's website I only came accross a very basic description.

Also, is there a way to buy AP from somewhere other than directly from Disney, say, at a discount?

Also, do you have to actually be at Disney to activate it, and if so, does it need to activated before you can make reservations using BR?

I am not sure what is going to change during Feb of next year. I have not read anything on that. Also no one will really know if the rates will be higher next year than this year until they are actually out.

I think you may find something on mousesavers.com or allearsnet.com on annual pass benefits. Or do a search somewhere here on the Dis for this years benefits. They may change next year starting January 1st, although they may not change much or at all but that too won't be known until January of next year when they publish.

The only way to get a discount on an AP is if you are a DVC owner, otherwise you pay regular price and can get it from Disney.

Yes you actually have to be at Disney to activate it but you can book the BRP with your voucher only through the website - there are instructions at mousesavers.com on how to do this - or have your travel agent do it.
