Questions about american Express small business saturday 2012

Does anyone know where to sign up for this? If I recall from last year, it was on their facebook page, but I am not seeing a place to register for this year.

And for anyone wondering what this is - last year, American Express had a "deal" if you registered your Amex Card, and then made a purchase of at least $25 at a small business (restaurant or retailer) then you got a $25 credit back on your statement.

Last year - I used my card at a small women's shop, and bought me DD a specific Vera Bradley bag she wanted. the "small business bonus" - this particular small business beautifully wrapped the gift at no extra charge.

This year - I need a new Vera Bradley mini-hipster so I will be going to the same store. It will be like getting this item at 50% off.

I received an email from FedEx that I won one of the $25 American Express gift cards they were giving away for Small Business Saturday. Can't remember when I registered but it gave the website www.shopsmall.com to check for details.

I received the American Express card for small business day I was unaware I had to register it. I thought I could just use it at a small business that is listed on the website.

We used mine last year at one of our favorites restaurants so it's a great deal and promo by Amex.

Registration is limited so don't delay!

Registered all 3 of our cards. We will be at Saratoga on Friday and checking the site there are a bunch of locations that qualify: Raglan Road, Chefs de France, Paradiso 37, Bongos Cuban Cafe, Ghirardelli, Pollo Campero, Sammy Duvall at Contemporary, and quite a few of the shops in DTD

It looks like the gas station I usually use is listed, woo hoo! $25 plus my usual 3%

The websites FAQ says that "supplemental card holders" can register their card number as well. I tried with mine and DH's cards and it worked

There are two different promos. You got the the free $25 Am EX gift card. You just use it like any other card, no registration needed. What others are talking about is, if you are an Am Ex credit cardholder, you can go to a special website and register to received a $25 credit back on your credit card statement if you shop small on that day.
