I'm planning a two week trip where I would stay at a Disney-owned resort. I understand I can book ADRs on day 180 for my checkin day plus up to 10 days. This doesn't cover my entire stay though and I am more concerned about getting specific ADRs towards the end of our trip due to DDs birthday. Am I stuck with starting my ADRs on the checkin day and going up to 10 days or can I start on day 3, for example, and go 10 days? Thus, covering my preferred end of the trip days. Any thoughts, suggestions, strategies would be appreciated.

1. Am I stuck with starting my ADRs on the checkin day and going up to 10 days or can I start on day 3, for example, and go 10 days? Thus, covering my preferred end of the trip days.

1. Once you are 180 days before check in you can start making ADRs or you could wait 3 more days and make reservations for your entire 2 week trip.

2. 180 days before arrival date you can make reservations for your check in day and the first 9 or 10 days of your trip. We were always able to do check in day plus the first 10 days of our trip for a total of 11 days, except for our most recent trip when we could only do check in day plus the first 9 days for a total of 10. It was the first time since implementation of MDE so I don't know if it was a glitch or if that's the way it will be for the future. Anyway, on your 180 day you can book starting with the 10th day of your trip first and work backwards to the start of your trip. The very next day you'll be able to book 1 more day, the following 1 more, etc. Or, you could wait until the final day of your trip falls within the 180 + 10 and book all the days at once.
