First I want to thank everyone for all the great advice and info on these boards. If I had never read this board, we probably wouldn't even be going on our trip. But we are going!!!! And soon! We have ressies at RPR Aug. 2-6! I booked a standard room at the entertainment rate ($110) so I am very pleased with that. Cast: Me, Husband, Daughter (9), Son (7)

I have a few questions:
1. We have now invited another child to join us on our trip. Girl age 10. I called RPR to put her on the ressie. The man I spoke with said we had to get the roll-away for $25 per night. I was hoping to bring a twin air mattress instead. I know I read in posts here that people who had 5 in their party were not required to get the rollaway. Can I do this too or what exactly did they tell you when you made your ressie? I have read about the rooms being small but I am not concerned since we will not be in the room much anyway.

2. When I was on the phone with RPR, I inquired about having a non-pet friendly room. DD and I both have allergies. He put in our reservation "requests room where pets were not in previous reservation". I asked him if there were not rooms where pets were not allowed. He said something bizarre about pets being everywhere. I have read here that there are certain floors where pets are not allowed. I can't find these posts now. Does anyone know if this is true or which floors these rooms are on?

3. We are getting the 2 Park Preferred APs with the Burger King coupon for my family. I now need to buy tickets for our daughter's friend. What should I buy? I was looking at the 5 days for the price of 2 bonus pass available online. Is this only available online? Would there be a better option? We are hoping to be very flexible going to the parks Saturday thru Tuesday. Depending on when we arrive in Orlando on Friday, we might check out a park that night. We have a room at Fairfield Inn I booked off priceline for Friday. So I would need at least 4 days on her ticket but no more than 5.

I have probably given you all more information than you wanted. LOL I appreciate any advice!! I have learned so much here. Every time I have thought of a question, someone would have already posted it! Wendypooh, all your questions have been the same as mine! Thanks all!

We just returned from RPR last Wednesday. My cousin had five in her party and I had two. When she made the reservation, she was told that she would have to have a rollaway for one of her children at the rate of $25 per night. She didn't want to do that, so we put her son on my reservation, so that everyone would have a room key. I have read on these boards that some people have been able to have 5 in a room, especially if the children are very young, but we were not allowed to do it (her children were 16, 14 and 12).

Hi!

We leave next week for RPR, too! I've been following Wendypooh around the boards for weeks, too!!! LOL!!

We have 5 in our party, and specifically asked if we could make do without a rollaway, and was told it was no problem. I am betting it's based upon the age of the youngest child. Our kids are 9, 7 & 5.

Hey all.......... When I called to make our resv. NO ONE told me that we HAD to get a rollaway........ they did ask how many in the room, the names and ages........ I have 3 sons, 17, 15 and 3. (5 of us)

As far as the allergy ????'s, my son is VERY allergic to dander, I called and asked about the pet issue, what I was told is that pets are allowed on the first 3 floors of all the towers......... therefore, a room on a higher level would be fine........ NO PETS allowed above the 3rd floor is what I was told. So, they listed on my resv. we need a "high" floor, b/c son is allergic. There were no problems at all when I've called.......... 3 or 4 times now to ask about different things..... etc., In fact they couldn't have been more accomodating or helpful.
I think like everywhere else some cm's just don't know as much as others........ I've been fortunate to get "smart" ones!! ;)

I too have read many post about the air mattress....... I'm bringing one for us to use......... but I agree with Patti, and that it may be the age of the child..... ? I don't know, but like I said, NO ONE ever told me we "HAD" to get a rollaway!!! Good Luck...... :smooth:

We too have 5 in our family and are staying at RPR - kids are 15, 13 and 6. I specifically asked at reservations whether we had to have the rollaway. "Diane" at 1-800-BEASTAR told me that they are required to offer the rollaway, but I have the right to decline it. I then asked if the 5th person would still get the FOTL key card if we declined the rollaway. She said absolutely! She reiterated that we were not required to have the rollaway, only that they had to offer it and we had every right to decline.

Hopefully I will get the same answer when I check in:D

Thank you all so much for your replies. I have been gone all day so will have to wait until tomorrow to call and make my requests. I didn't realize you could decline the rollaway. The CM I spoke with said I would have to have it if I add another person to our room. You are right wendypooh, some CMs are more helpful than others. The first one I spoke with when making my ressie was so wonderful and friendly. The gentleman I spoke with yesterday was less than helpful. He didn't know the answers to many of my questions and he was a little snippy about me requesting a non-pet room. Better luck tomorrow! We leave in 3 days!! I can't wait!

Most of them are great but it does happen that I call and get someone I cant understand OR just doesnt seem informed. I always say thank you, hang up and call back until I get someone I am happy with.

Themepark......... Good Luck!! Maybe the guy thought you were meaning....... you were adding another person......... and got confused on how many would be in your room??? Just a guess......... I think sometimes the cm's don't really listen to what you are saying...... and sometimes they just don't know what's going on. Anyway, good luck, I"m sure you won't have any problems!! :D

I got our 5th person added without the rollaway bed. The CM I spoke with simply asked "Will you be needing the rollaway?". I replied with a no and it was as simple as that. Funny how the CM I spoke with a few nights ago said we HAD to have it. I asked again about the room request for no pets and she explained that they do look at every request you make on your reservation when you arrive and do everything they can to accomodate you. It was noted on my ressie. She told me that the only rooms that do not allow pets are on the 7th floor Club level. I know that is different than what many people have posted here. We will be checking in early (8am) so hopefully our request won't be a problem. I can't wait to get there!! We will be leaving in less than 24 hours!!!

To answer this part, yes, they are only available online. I recently called to inquire for our friend (we already have ours and got this same deal) and they told me only online. I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for, but I don't see what a better option would be. This is a great deal. Since you are going so close, you can order them online and then pick them up at the parks. Have fun!

I had requested a roll away bed, and a refrigerator when I made our reservations. We too added a 5th person later on. Then, at check in, I simply informed them that we would not be needing either one. That was that.:D
