Ive been readng lot about the DVC and am totally intrigued. My family and I are thinking of planning a 2 week trip for next August and wed like to possibly rent at BCV. Any comments on whether this scheme will work or not?

Arrive on Aug 11 (Friday) and stay Friday and Sat at Universal.

Check in at BCV, 2 bedroom on Sunday August 13 and stay 13 nights through the following Saturday.

Using only points, this would be 640 points (based on this year's points, anyway).
My first question is, would we have to get all of the points from one person to have one single reservation? If so, is it likely to find one person with that many points to rent, who is a BCV home member that could book for us 11 months out a dedicated
2 BR with 2 Queen beds? (I know, thats a tall order!!)

Or could we : Make one ressie for Sunday-Thursday with points rented from one person (170 points= ~ $1700)
Get a cash rental for Fri and Sat (Through a DVC member or on our own?? Not sure how much this costs )
Make another ressie with points rented from someone else for the next Sunday through Thursday (170 points= ~ $1700)
Get a cash rental for Friday.
(I realize if we do this, I couldnt get the 2 queen bedroom.)

We would have 5 adults plus 2 children who will be 5 at that time. If paying by cash, do you pay extra for the extra 3 adults?

If the second situation above is possible, would it really save more money, and would we be able to link all the reservations so that we wouldnt have to move?

Sorry for all of the questions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would love it if we could just BUY into DVC, but I dont have that kind of cash to lay out right now.
