The stateroom host is the CM who takes care of your stateroom, and you, when you need something for the room.

They make sure that you have everything you need in your room. Our hosts have also opened the door for me when I have been bringing two young uncooperative children back to the room from the pool and even distracted them enough to make them forget about being upset. DD loved the towel animals he made & we were forced to keep the collection on the desk in the room.
