My sister opened up an *** account a couple of years ago and for whatever reason never did anything with it so, now it's most likely closed, she wants a referral from me for the $25 I know this
promotion is only for first timers but, can she open the account in her daughter's name and make it joint or should she just call *** directly and have them give her her account info? I know if she calls them and does it that way she won't get the $25 and I won't get the $10 which I could really use for my upcoming trip any helpful advice? we'd both like to make some money out of this but, I'm not that greedy I really want to just help her get her own savings set up.

Hi Dolphincrazy! Yes, she can open one in her daughter's name & get the $25 plus the $10 referral money!! I opened one in my name - got the free $25, plus opened one in my DH's name and each of my son's names for a total of $165 FREE money!!!! I plan on cancelling my DH's & sons' accounts once the 30 days is over and transferring their money into my account which I plan to keep open since I "sweep" all my ebay earnings into it. I use my account strictly for my Disney funds - a great way to save!!

Thanks for replying, I made out great with the referral promotion too unfortunately ,I'm not having much luck with the few I have left but hope to make it to the $250 mark before June I will have my sister put the account in her daughter's name so we can both get credit that money really does help out especially the free kind

I found out about these on the DIS boards and then they were removed because the thread apparently is a solicitation because people were offering their referrals out too.

I know I was hoping to use my referrals too so that I could reach the $250 refrral bonus mark as well.

Too bad we can't post our referrals on the thread anymore since I thought it was a great idea.

I agree it's a great way to save, but I'm up to $100.00 in referrals and I'm probably going to regret this extra income at tax time next year with other earned income we have. I think I'll stop now...

There is a place on the application where it asks for drivers licence number. Can you open an acct without this? Iwas thinking of starting a little college account for each of my kids and wonder if they will allow me to do that?

Yes, you can!

Just put them as Primary and yourself as the secondary/joint account holder. I did this for my kids too.

You'll earn $10. for each child's account and they will each earn $25.00.

When you use a person under 16 as the primary account holder, the DL # box goes inactive since they, obviously, can't have a DL.

glad you made out so well in referrals especially when they pulled the thread the day after you opened the account I know what you mean about tax time next year I have $210 in referrals
but, it's addicting when you see the money start piling up!!lol.
