Me and another couple are starting to plan a trip to *. We are thinking we would like to try to rent a *. Can anyone offer any advice on how to get this done? Help Please!

Go to the Rent/Trade board and put in a reuest to rent points from a DVC member. I did it twice before I bought into DVC and had good expeirences both times.[/B]

Before you submit your request, read all of the "stickies" at the top of the Rent/Trade board, including the linked information. That will give you a good understanding of the process and things to be aware of.

If you have any questions after doing that preliminary research, come back here and ask. If you can make your questions as specific as possible, you'll get much more accurate feedback than if you ask vague questions.

As you work your way through all the info on the R/T board, you will see that renting is not for everyone. It requires considerable legwork and trust between the renter and the owner. Changes in plans are difficult - often impossible - to accommodate because of the restrictions of DVC. If your plans might be subject to change - more likely with two couples involved - you would probably be better off just going through regular Disney Reservations.

Your best bet is to find someone with * points as you can still take advantage of their 11 month priority.
