Question to ponder about the LE 1000 lanyard pin from Princess Ball

I was always suspect to the Limited Editions. I think at one time we were trying to count one of them. We had everyone sign up who had one.
Might be a good idea to try.

When they do a pin run, there are always a certain percentage of overs or unders..
when it is a limited run, and they are numbered on the back, there are usually some overs w/o numbers

then there are AP's which are pre runs for quality & approval...so you really do have a counted LE of what it says
but there are always un numbered extras..

If some are damaged in the LE production the true count may be under the LE #..

So what do I have. The pin I bought through the disney auctions states on the back Le100.
They were sold out some people were not eligible to purchase it.
Only 100 pins were sold but I ordered one and got three. This comes out to 102.
All are the same.
This was a very special pin. But the Le is not what it says.
Also does anyone remember being in WDW and OH we found some more LE pins in the back.
Pins that people had been trying to get and were told they were gone and then all of a sudden they are back.
What's going on?????? shirley38:confused:

Of COURSE I'm a pin collector. As such I feel qualified to repeat: A pin is a pin. What is a treasure to one is garbage to another. Please leave the gnat-straining to the bible-thumpers. Relax. Have a good time. Don't worry about it. Of course, it DOES give us something to jaw about, doesn't it? As to a 'fee' . . . big deal. I thought this was just a hobby, not a financial endeavor that required a bottom line. $25.00? Chump change. If you can't afford to play, stay at home. By the way, I have no 'Uncle Scrooge'. I had an Uncle Bud but he died.

in the " Happiest Place On Earth" or needs a hug....I'm not sure which..

What is Chump Change to those fortunate few, is Hard Earned Money to some others, who
try to enjoy this w/ their whole family.. or to some kid who is earning his allowance to buy the
few pins he or she likes....just a different point of view...to consider

I also collect snow globes have many old ones, antique disney items, books toys, plates
stuffed animals, (early ones), records, etc....have been going to WDW since the gates opened, and very much
enjoy meeting w/ people w/ the same hobbies, especially pins, It is very hard for me to carry my snowglobe
collection through the park hanging around my neck...God knows I've tried..and this may give us something tojaw
about, but I couldn't think of a nicer bunch of people to do it with...some of us are rich , some of are not, some are older some very young, no boundries here... just a bunch of disney lovers discussing our hobby..

you should try it..
