Question: shuttles from WDW resorts to nearby car rental agencies

We are planning a two-part trip for this October, where we will be spending time at WDW then going to Vero Beach for a couple of days. We are flying in and will take DME from MCO to our resort (Animal Kingdom Lodge).

Are there any rental car agencies around WDW that have free shuttles dedicated to picking people up from a Disney resort for the purpose of renting a car? Ideally we would like to have everyone in the party (luggage included) use the shuttle, but would be ok with renting the car and driving back to the resort to pick everyone up.

I realize we could just use a taxi, but was curious about this other option.

I know alamo will pick you up at any resort for free and bring you to the car care center with your luggage.

The Alamo/National rental counter at the Dolphin and the car care center will pick you up. YOu just need to make reservation with them at least 48 hours before you pick up your rental.
I also heard that Dollar located at the Regal Sun resort across the street from DTD will pick you up. Or you can just take the DTD bus and walk across the street.

Thanks for the great info! Alamo picking up with luggage included is exactly what we need, and I noticed on Mousesavers that Alamo is one of that site's favorite rental companies, too.

The Alamo/National office at the Dolphin doesn't offer any shuttle service. You have to get yourself there. At least, they didn't the last time I checked. A/N at the Car Care Center does though. As mentioned, you do have to make arrangements in advance though.

I believe it's Enterprise at one of the dtd resorts & they offer a shuttle to & from the resorts. We used to rent a car from the Marriot & they always picked us up. They recently moved to dtd & they still picked us up & took us back to our hotel in January.

Many car rental companies are located in the various DTD resorts. Budget, for instance, is at the Doubletree. And they offer a shuttle to/from your resort. You just have to prearrange it.
