Question regarding transferred points

Is there any sort of limit to how many points you can accept in a transfer? Is there any relation to how many points you actually own?

For instance if I own 75 points, can I receive a transfer of 200 points from another member?

I know there is a one transfer a year limit. I just didn’t know if it is permissible for the number of transferred points to be greater than the amount you own.

There is no limit on how many points one owner can transfer to the other owner. It is one per UY so if you found an owner who wanted to transfer you 500 points, you can accept that transfer.

The points are held in a temporary contract in your account. To use them online during the home resort period, you do have to call...a few reports of people having success doing it, but most can not...

Once at 7 months, they seem to be an option to choose and book online with your own points. Be aware that the system will always use any of your own banked and borrowed points before it will allow you to use transferred points.

We are planning a trip next fall and planning to stay at AKV. My home resort is AKV and I will have (8) banked Feb 2022 points and (54) current Feb 2023 points. Our planned reservation requires 268 points and we have already made arrangements to transfer in 206 Oct 2023 BWV points from another member. If I try to book the reservation online at 7 months, will it allow me to use the 206 transferred points WITHOUT borrowing from my 2024 allotment? Is this something I will even be able to do online, or will I have to call? We are planning to book a standard 2BR at Kidani, preferably a lock-off, but we will take whatever since it's just 3-4 people travelling.

Perfect! That's the answer I was hoping for. Our trip is planned for the middle/end of October and since it's still hurricane season, I am glad that the bulk of the points we will be using ARE the October UY points. Mine are February so it will be past our banking window if something comes up and we have to cancel. It would be almost impossible to try and rebook something between November 1 and January 31 on less than 60 days notice. With 206 of the points being October UY, we could at least have almost a full year to try and rebook something in case of a cancellation.
