Question regarding reservations with discounts??

When you make reservations for one of the on-sight hotels, can you use your discount card (lowes, or et) by calling the 1-800-beastar? Or do you have to call lowes or et to reserve the room?

You can call either, but 1-800-beastar will charge your deposit immediately whereas Loews seems not to charge your deposit until you check in.

Loews has charged my deposit each time!

I recently made a reservation with Loews and the deposit has hit my charge.
