Hey, hoping I could get some help on a situation. My family along with my mother will be staying 8 nights at a Finding Nemo suite at art of animation coming up shortly. There will be 6 of us in the room. 3 adults, a 10 year old, an 11 year old, and a 5 year old. My father who initially could not make the trip, turns out can come, but only for 2 nights. Now there are no more LM rooms left available to get for those dates, is there any reason he couldn't just come and stay with us in our suite, and my 5 year old sleep on the floor using the cushions from the couch (she actually prefers this anyways) I know the room is 6 max occupancy, but I'm kind of stuck in a hard place here. Aside from doing it on the down low (and I'm not sure possible consequences of this) does disney offer an "extra guest" charge to allow something like this? Thanks for any help.

If the max is 6 then Disney will not allow you to officially add a 7. Since you would have to do it on the DL your father wouldn't get a magic band nor would he be able to speak with the front desk about anything or use Magical Express. You would be able to book him fast passes because anyone staying on site can book an off site guest FP+ at 60 days as long as they are linked in MDE.

No, you're already at max occupancy for the room. Disney won't allow you to put an extra person on the reservation, and they never grant exceptions to that.

Possible consequences of sneaking him in? Well, there's the inconvenient: the extra person won't have a key to the room, won't be able to access the main pool area, attend extra magic hours at the parks, or use Magical Express. And then there's the really inconvenient: Disney can require you to book an extra room at rack rate, or they can cancel your stay with no refund. Rare, but it's happened.

I would suggest booking a room at Pop Century for your mother and father for the two nights he'll be there. They'll be just over the bridge from you, and then your mother can move back to your AoA suite after he leaves.

Nope they will not allow it. And if you are caught trying to sneak in an extra guests they can toss your whole family. Not something I think many would like to risk. And there is at least one poster who has seen it done.

I'd explain to your dad that there is no way he can sleep in the suite. Maybe he and your mom can share a standard room for those 2 nights.

Thanks for the information everybody. I'm going to have to try find another solution I can see.

The POP suggestion is quite good. Pop is just over the bridge from AOA. Nemo are closest to the bridge. If your parents book and try to get into the 60s (I think they're preferred?) they'll actually be as close/closer than Little Mermaid rooms are to Nemo.

Glad the OP will look for a better solution. And it is about fire codes. As a hotelier I can tell you that the hotel has absolutely no option here. The hotel has to obey fire codes because the ramifications are way to high for not and morally it is wrong to put people at risk. People have far less time to get out in an emergency than you think and fire codes are about ensuring that you can get out in the required time.

So, as other poster point out the hotel will give you only two options: rent another room or leave. And you will have to make that choice immediately. And the hotel can just evict you without giving the option to rent another room.

I always ask people on this and other issues, please don't put yourself at risk. It's just not worth it. I want you to have a great and safe stay.

No, he can not stay in room.

POP is your perfect answer. I've always been able to get room there. I just booked it just for NYE.

Your less than perfect would be one of the ALLStars.
Disney will transfer your Mom's luggage there for her. He will be able to use ME if needed, and utilize EMH.

I'm a stickler for rules. I agree POP is a good resort and they can walk over to AOA to be with you.
