We have booked a trip to go to WDW for five nights from 11/30 to 12/5 staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Our friends now want to join us for the same dates at the same resort and there are no rooms available. In fact, there are no rooms available at any WDW resorts for those dates. Why are these dates sold out three months in advance? There is no holiday during these dates. And other than MVMCP, there does not appear to be any special event at WDW. Is this the norm now for Disney to completely sell out of all of their rooms for non-holiday dates? Or, do you think they will release more rooms to the public as sometime in the next three months?

The Halloween through Christmas season has been getting busier and hotels are sold out during that time. People do cancel their trips so you can keep checking and see if one pops up.

I think part of the reason the hotels are sold out is because there is so much going on during the Halloween through Christmas season. My theory is that people would rater go when there is more going on since Hollywood Studios has a ton of construction and EPCOT has closed so much over the years.

We had to change our August vacation because of my son's health. We tried to book during that same week (and the weeks surrounding it) with no luck so I feel your pain. We are going at the end of January next year but I would much rather go during the Christmas season when there is so much going on.

Good luck!
