Hi all, you have all been so helpful in the past. I have a couple of questions for you.
I was thinking about surprising my DH and planning a trip down for the first weekend of Food and Wine festival for he and I and possibly a couple who we're friends with. I was contemplating renting DVC points (depending upon availability, etc.) because it would be a refreshing change.
Now the questions:
(1) Do DVC rentals during that time qualify for the free dining offer that's going on during that time? If you use DVC points for hotel/resort stay does it apply then?
(2) What's the chances of getting availability at that time?
(3) What size unit would you recommend for 2? For 4?
(4) If we used DVC points for a resort/hotel, which one has the best "exchange rate"?

Thanks so much!

DVC points stays do not qualify for free dining. To get the free dining, you need to book a package through CRO. Renters may purchase the dining plan (for approx $38 per adult per night and $11 per night per child ages 3 -9). If purchased, the DP must be purchased for everyone staying in the room for the entire length of the stay.

Depends on the resort and room size/type. There is very limited availability for the EPCOT resorts for that time frame, but there should be rooms available at OKW, SSR & possibly VWL. Don't wait much longer if you are serious about renting points for that time.

At least a 1 bedroom for two couples. A 2 bedroom would be ideal. Each couple would have privacy and their own bathroom. There would be a living room/kitchen area to share.

Links to the point charts are at the top of the Forum. OKW is the least expensive, followed by standard view rooms at the BWV, SSR and then all the rest.
