Question re. DDP

Hi all,

for those of you who interpret the tons and tons of info better than I, can anyone tell me if I book my own rooms, and manage to get a discount (say, a code, or CAA), will I be able to add on the ddp? Or is ddp only allowed if you're paying rack rates?

I'm soooo confused!

We did not pay rack rates and got DPP through SouthWest Vacations.

We got airfare, rooms, hopper passes and rental car plus the free DPP.
