Where is this stuff made?
The bottles indicate that they are made FOR Bath & Body Works, but where do the products originate from?
Here's why I ask:
A few years ago, my employer (a women's retailer headquartered in PA) tried to sell cosmetics in our stores. A few of us were invited to be 'guinea pigs' and test the products. I was one of them.
The colors were nice, but all of the products were made overseas. To me, this means that there's a chance that this stuff sat in some filty cargo containers for God-only-knows-how-long while either waiting to be shipped, or waiting for customs to accept the product.
Most of my questions were regarding the facility where the products were made & whether or not they were tested on animals. Because the products were manufactured overseas, no clear answers were given to my questions.
They eventually decided to pull the product following poor sales and lots of complaints about the mascaras being almost solid (probably old from sitting in different places prior to making it to the stores' shelves).
I normally try to buy products such as soap and skin care that are made in the USA.
Any insight? Maybe I just did not read the labels properly and they clearly say where the product was made
