On our first cruise on the Dream in March of 2016, we had 2 staterooms and purchased the all digital photo package on Stateroom 1. Stateroom 1 was myself, DH and 8 yr old son. Stateroom 2 was my Mother, and our 2 daughters ages 12 and 15. All pictures with DH, DS, both DDs and myself were included in the photos. (They even included my mother's pictures where she was alone - without any kids in them. I know technically those weren't supposed to be included and it was a nice surprise when they were.)
We are booked to sail on the Fantasy this August and I plan to purchase the same photo package. BUT my DH booked our staterooms a little differently this time. Stateroom 1 will be DH, 13 yr old DD and 9 yr old DS. Stateroom 2 will be myself, my Mother and 16 yr old DD. I am concerned that if we order the photo package on stateroom 1, it won't include any photos of me unless DH or one of the kids are in the photos with me. Likewise, if we order the photo package on stateroom 2, it won't include any photos of DH unless one of the kids or I are with him. Does this sound correct?
I emailed and asked this question to the folks at mycruisephotos. I couldn't find a phone number to talk to them. The email response is confusing at best:
Yes, It will all be under one purchase.
The photo packages are sold per stateroom. The exception would be if you have your minor children (21 and under) in another cabin, their images would be part of your package. Once on board you would need to visit the gallery so they can link your children's cabin to yours if necessary.
Any photo that someone from the purchasing cabin is in would be included in your package. Does not matter who else is in the photo as long as one of you are.
Should one cabin purchase the all inclusive package,(pre cruise or on board), the other cabins traveling with you can purchase their all inclusive for 50% off the on board price. These can only be purchased on board, not pre cruise.
I am now wondering if we need to call DCL and switch things around so DH and I are in stateroom 1 and order the photo package on that stateroom. We are already PIF. Can switch people after the PIF?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
