Question on Studios's lake and expansion

Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong section -- I couldn't find the right place to post it.

I know Studios is getting its much-needed expansion, featuring a giant lake with a Frozen land on the far end of it. And that there was supposed to be a Star Wars land, too, on one side of the lake, but I've heard it has been shelved for the time being. That said, does this mean the path to the lake, and the sides of the lake, will just be... empty? (Aside from the inevitable temporary food and merchandise carts, of course.)

I'm just imagining walking around Epcot's lake to get to the American pavilion, but there's nothing else around the lake, and I can't wrap my head around it.

I haven't heard about a full cancellation. Only that the Star Wars lands in WDW and especially DL are not as popular as Disney had expected. That might influence the Paris expansion.

I am sure that they will put at least a coffee stand half way ;)
Looking at the pictures, I don't think the lake is going to be as big as Epcot's lake.

Interesting question but my guess is they will have already planned for this with the placement of a berm that is later removed or with careful landscaping as the Star Wars land was always intended to open later than the Frozen section. I am imagining seating, topiary and cafes (and un-imagining years of construction walls...)
