Question on Renting/Transfer of points

Hi all!

Not sure if this is the right place to post, please move if it is not.

I had a quick question regarding renting/transfer of points. My wife and I are planning to go to Disneyland in August 2015. As such, we'll use our points at the GCV to book at the 11 month window. However, if we find out next year that we can't make that trip in August, can we rent out and transfer the reservation we booked to someone else? I'm assuming we'd ask to receive payment via paypal. Once we received payment, would I just call DVC and ask to change the names on the reservation?

Yes

paypal is probably the safest, but also against paypals rules to use it for timeshare related payments.

Once we received payment, would I just call DVC and ask to change the names on the reservation?

Yes. You would still have complete control over the reservation until they actually checked in and occupied the room.
