Question on QS meals - 1st time w/DDP

DH and I are doing the DDP for the first time. For lunch and dinner which allows us an entree, drink, and dessert, how do we know what we can use?

For example: Sunshine Seasons. Can I get what I choose as my lunch plus their delicious looking key lime pie and some milk if I so choose? And that would all be under my one QS credit?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. It just seems like so much food and my mind tries to tell me that I'm wrong! :confused3

yup, that's how it works and yes, IMO it IS a lot of food.

When we're on the dining plan we split 2 CS meals between the 3 of us - myself, DH and DD age 12 - and have plenty of food!

When we're not on the Dining Plan we still split 2 CS between us but don't get dessert at 'lunch' and get a couple of snacks later in the day (yumm).

Thank you! That's exciting and it makes my stomach ache at the same time! :goodvibes

QS is alot of food...actually alot of dessert since you get one with each meal...plus a snack!! Don't forget that most places offer fruit as a dessert...one night we took fruit back to the room and put it in the fridge for breakfast the next morning...

You will have plenty of food, but it's good to remember you can also choose to get only what you want to eat. You do not have to get a dessert if you don't want one. Many places will allow you to get a bottled drink or some piece of fruit as your dessert. Most places offer salad and some sushi. There are other lighter options that aren't quite so filling. If you space your meals properly and make wise food choices, then you should be o.k. Also, there's no law (except maybe the one echoing in our heads  saying "clean your plate"...lol) that says you have to eat every bite. You will be amazed at all the choices on the CS plan. With this plan, you will also benefit from the fact that you don't have to plan your day around which restaurant you're going to. You can just pop into whichever CS you choose whenever you're hungry. Hope you have a great time!
