Question on Osbourne Lights/Fantasmic

I know this is early, but I'm planning ahead for Nov. We were there this past Nov, and didn't spend much time at MGM. This year, we'd like to try to see Osbourne lights and Fantasmic. Heres my question....on a weekday when MGM closes at 8....Is it possible to do dinner at 5 or 5:30 at Sci-Fi, see the Osbourne Lights, then line up and see Fantasmic? Or is there no way we'd have enough time for that?

We ate a little earlier (I think our reservations were for 4:45 pm). We used the Fantasmic package and had plenty of time to view the Lights and head over to Fantasmic. We had a seat about 1/3 of the way up - much closer would have brought us into the "shower" area that night.

Another option is to see the Osborne Lights after Fantasmic. They allow Fantasmic guests to see the Osborne Lights on their way out of the park.

That's what we did.

I'm with beattyfamily. You don't need to try to carve time out of your touring day to see the Osbourne lights. Just head over there after the last Fantasmic show. Yes, most of the crowd will be going there too, but stop for a snack or duck into a gift shop, and let them get ahead of you. Once the worst of the crowd has gone through the Osbourne lights, you can stroll through at your leisure. We did this last year, and the CM's don't hurry anyone along at all, and we felt free to take our time. When you get to the "end" of the lights display, they will just direct you straight to the park exit.
