Has anyone ordered from this company and how did they like the product? Is it worth the money? I have received one of those promotion coupons and I was hoping to get a report from someone that has ordered and eatten Omaha steaks and their other products to see if it is something we should try or just pass on it...

Any help would be great....

According to my husband (who is a red meat eater, as I am not) it's not worth the money. You can find good quality meat in other ways for better prices.

We've got an order as a holiday gift from my job about 3 yrs back, and he enjoyed the steaks, but when we looked into the cost, we were not willing to spend our own money for them.

I agree; the meat is really good, but you can also find good meat locally.

My dad often sends me a package for my birthday- ground patties, chops, steaks, desserts, etc. I LOVE to receive these! I think it's a treat not to have to shop for the meat, and to have on hand in my freezer. And it is always really nice quality.

Would I buy it for myself? No, I never have. Some of the coupons look fairly reasonable. You might want to give it a try! I don't think you will be disappointed in the quality.

They can have some really good deals at times, but more times than none they are pricey. We've never been disappointed in the quality of foods. Some of their side items are soooo yummy! I think I enjoy some of them better than the meat. I have maybe ordered from them 4 times over the course of 5 years though, so I think that says a lot. If you have a killer coupon give it a try, but otherwise I think most will agree they aren't worth the cost.

I've ordered a few times from them and was pleased with the quality but I'm not sure it would be worth the cost if I was paying full price. I redeem rewards from My Points towards the order. Last night I placed an order for $ 80 and applied a $75 gift certificate from MY Points.

We used to live near an Omaha Steaks store. We bought steaks, burgers, and other food items, liking the burgers the best.

100% grass fed beed is better than any Omaha steak, fresher, and no more expensive (often less as you eat less). That's what we do now...

We had an excellent deal on hamburgers last year and they were delicious! I send them to my Mother and Grandmother and they love it and rave all year long. The hamburgers, hot dogs and sides get the most rave reviews from them.
I use my E-rewards to get deals and usually use free shipping or some other code as well.

It's also nice that everything was individually sealed, so you can use what you need.

We buy Omaha Steaks all the time, but we are fortunate enough to have stores near us so we do not have to pay shipping and handling. The steaks are very good and you can usually get really good deals. I'm not sure it would be worth it to pay shipping, and definitely not at full price. Also, I would avoid non beef products (chicken, pork, etc.) they tend to not be as good as the beef.

Never bought anything myself, but Omaha Steaks is typically right up there with Bose and Monster Cables as rip-off products on SlickDeals.net (even during the 'sales' the threads always get a lot of thumbs down ratings).

We have bought them and no they are not worth the money. They are hyped to be this cut, that cut and so tender blah, blah blah. No not good at all.

I love their 6oz filets. As soon as I use them, I reorder. And my brother and I are super picky about our steaks.

We ordered a couple of years ago and were very disappointed with the steaks and the burgers.

We can get much better quality of beef locally without the shipping costs. We even have a Omaha Steak store nearby and I wouldn't even consider going in there to purchase anything.

When they called to ask if we wanted to reorder, hubby let them know how much we detested their product and it would probably be for the best if they didn't call back again. :rotfl:

They have never called back. :thumbsup2

We have had the filets and the burgers. They were good, but I would never pay full price for them. If I can get them for the same price as 'premium' meats at the grocery store then fine, if not, they aren't worth paying extra for, IMO. I'll just go to Giant Eagle.

I do like that they come individually wrapped, that is a plus. And my kids liked the dry ice that came in the shipping cooler, lol.

I've ordered a few times from them and was pleased with the quality but I'm not sure it would be worth the cost if I was paying full price.

As an avid outdoor cook, I agree with this statement completely. Mom and Dad get us a box for Christmas every year, and I have never had a problem with the quality. However, when doing my own I go to the local butcher. Omaha is good, but a little pricey IMO.

Omaha is OK but I perfer the steaks and burgers from Kansas City ( sold on QVC )
