If both Marie and I currently have our screen names tied to my one email, do I have to get another email for her now to comply with this new rule?

Yes you do.
Besides Lady M. deserves her own E-Mail account

Will any valid email account be acceptable such as a yahoo.com or hotmail.com account? It's not an issue for me as I've got more email accounts than I want or need and don't need any extra DIS accounts. However, for those like Dan and other families, can we, for example, suggest that they could get a free yahoo, hotmail, etc. account if they need a second account and their ISP doesn't provide one? I know that there are some places where you can't use a yahoo or similar account when you register.

Can it be the same ISP? i.e. My family has different addresses but, all through the same ISP. Will this matter?

And, my biggest question is, how do I know from way back when if I tried more than once to get logged in here? In other words, how do I find out if I'm registered under some unused user name?!

Sorry to jump on your thread seeing as you were asking about email addresses
etc. I have 2 email addresses under my user name, one is my works(as im there 5 days
a week) the other my home, this way i can access the emails that i require at work, and once
on holiday(as i work in education), i change my address over to that of home so i can access
my mail there.
Do i need a seperate one for both of these?

Yahoo or Hotmail are fine!
They just need to be different accounts, in other words at least the part to the left of the @ must be different.

What if we don't want any of our old user names anymore? Can you just delete them so that we don't have to worry about finding out what names we had and getting new emails for them? Like I can only remember 2 of mine and I know there are more but they were just made up for a one time thing and I have no clue what they were now.

Michelle: The only solution to guarantee access would be to switch your current account to a different address.

We have no way to delete old accounts like that.

OK, So say after the certain date of 4/1 or whatever it is,
I come to log on and it says go away you have multiple accounts under the same e-mail.
What if I didn't know that say, my dd registered with my e-mail.
Also, my cat registered with my e-mail.
Somebody I don't even know registered with my e-mail.
So on and So forth.
Thus Without even knowing I am locked out of my account?
Will I ever be able to come back as betz?
Or will I have to make a new persona with an altogether different e-mail account?
What if you use your domain as your email and have several e-mails under your domain like
1@lala.com
2@lala.com
3@lala.com
and so on
are they all valid seperate accounts?

Can a do a search by e-mail accounts?

What about that I have had my name transferred from bets to betz and they both have the same e-mail, but are actually the same account?
What about all the variables I am not thinking of?

Can somebody help me think of a new name?

you will DEFINITELY be able to come back! Email user@wdwinfo.com and our excellent tech team will take care of it. If someone else registered with your address I would think you would want to know that! And yes those would all be seperate email accounts as long as whatever is to the left of the @ is unique.
