question on new discounts

I have a room only for the WL. I would love to add the dining to it. My DU rep says I have to cancel my orginal and than book a new reservations. What if I lose my orginal and no new discounts are avaliable? Would you change to the Animal KIngdom from the WL? Looks like no standard rooms are avaliable.

I believe dining can only be added to a "package" not a room only discount. A package consist of a room and ticket(s) and has some other payment guidelines. If dining could be added to room only reservations, then alot of us out here would take advantage of it.
