Question on KSC

I am hoping someone here knows the answer I am looking for.... I had surgery on my arm (broken) a few years ago and have 2 titanium plates in my arm as a result. When I had the surgery done I was supposed to get a card that said I had them in my arm due to the surgery for when I go through security at airports. I never received it. My question is, will I need this card at Kennedy Space Center? I think I read something on their site about having to go through metal detectors on the way in.

you would probably need it first at your home airport.

call your doctors and ask for it.

We are driving down to Orlando so I won't need it for the airport. But it is probably a good idea to call anyways so I do have it. Never know when I might need it. And that way, if I do need it at the space center, I have it.
