Question of location for G.V. @ O.K.W.

Hi friends....

I will be staying in a Grand Villa at Old Key West in May for the first time. I have seen the map of locations that someone was nice enough to post on this board in the past.

My question is:

In your opinions....where should I request to be for a party size of 12.....6 adults / 6 children?

By the main check in / pool area?
By the Turtle Shack / pool area?
Somewhere else?

Any advice experts??

We stayed in a 2 br in Bldg 62 and I was told on this board that Grand Villas were above me (I was on the bottom floor ) This building is across the street from HH and was a wonderful location

We stayed in a GV in Building 43 on Old Turtle Pond Road. We thought that it was a great location - across the parking lot from the quiet pool and snack bar and just around the corner from the bus stop.

We've stayed in a GV at the end of South Point Road - can't remember which building - and one on Peninsular Road. We liked the Peninsular Road bldg. better because we could easily walk either to the bus stop or the General Store, main pool and Olivia's.

I would request near a bus stop, because some of the GV buildings are quite a ways to them. If you are near a bus stop, the other things are very easy access.

Hey, we're going to be there in a GV the week of the 15th! Thanks for posting this question, as it will be our first time staying at OKW and we were wondering the same thing. Our group includes my family (me DH, Ds's ages 2 and 4) and our friends and their DS's (ages 4 and 1). We anticipate using the pool a lot, especiallywith the new slide and all!
