I am currently waiting on ROFR for vwl of 100pts u/y June. It comes with 100 banked points fromm 2004 that has to be used by June 1st. I can't use them and would like to sell them. They can't be transferred to another member, I would have to rent them, would it be better to just try to get a reservation at any resort as soon as I am able and rent it. Or should I just try rent the points.

By the time I will close and to get into dvc system the window will be small.

Personally, I would plan to take a last-minute vacation before those points run out. The problem with renting those points is that, because they are last-minute, you have a much harder time renting them, and you have a higher risk, because you have no leverage against a bad renter. Your window is getting smaller and smaller. Once you get to April 1, I feel that your window is closed on those points, you need to use them yourself.
