I LOVE reading reviews and am debating making my own for our upcoming trip. However, I think I will ge getting tons of stares while taking pictures. I know sounds silly. Do you find that is the case?

I wasn't someone who took a lot of photos on your last trip (only 2) but I never noticed anyone staring when I took those 2.
Also, I don't remember noticing if anyone else was taking pictures of their food. Probably I was so desentitized to photo snapping since there is so much of it at WDW that it didn't even register, lol.
I was too busy enjoying my own trip to pay attention to what other people consider phto ops (unless I am in their way or they are in mine)

at first I thought 'i cant do this everyone will look at me" but they didnt really...i mean maybe a couple here and there. :confused3 but it wasnt a big deal, they looked and went on about there business! :goodvibes

the last time we went my family was better at remembering to take pic's than I was they loved it!! At thanksgiving my nephew say, while we're eating, "Oh man I forgot to take a picture" some of the family didnt get it, but those of us in "know" found it funny! ;)

Oh and I also got the head nods and smiles of folks that knew I was taking food shots for the Dis!!! :yay:

I felt a little weird the first time I did it, but that was so long ago that I don't worry about it any longer. I've gotten so bad that I do it when I'm not on vacation! :rotfl2:

In Vegas I actually had a restaurant serving team ask me if I was a food critic! :lmao: And I said, "In a way, yes I am."

Joking aside, I do try to be aware of others around us when I'm taking pictures in the evening, especially at more upscale establishments. I usually check with the staff first to make sure that's it's OK because I don't want to bother other patrons. I've never been asked not to take pictures - most establishments are flattered by the request and know that it's great, free publicity.

Honey I take more food pictures than anyone I know and I could care less if anyone says a darn thing about it! I will take menus pics, food pics of items in cases, on shelves, on our plates and heck next time I might take pictures of food from strangers plates :lmao: I dont limit my picture taking to places we are actually eating, I will snap away whenever I can.

A few times people have asked if I was a food critic, some have asked if I am on the DIS and a few people have asked if I was MickeyNicki from the Disboards!!

I love doing it if it helps out my fellow Diser and it is kinda cool putting a scrap book together and photoshopping the pics.

I've written two dining reviews and take pictures of the meals of all the people in my party, for TS, CS, and snacks. I've never had anyone stare at me, make funny comments, laugh, anything of the sort. I think most people are so wrapped up in their own vacation that they really don't pay attention to who's taking pictures of what.

If you think you'll enjoy writing a dining review, do it! Who cares if someone thinks you're weird? Last trip I brought a little notebook to take notes about my food in, and I'll be doing the same this trip.

I get more stares from my own family :)
I could care less and just happily take pictures!
