I tried to open an account on the priceline/expedia board and it did not work. Hoping you can answer a question for me. If I am canadian can I use the Amex bonus money. We are needing reservations for April 1st and have a corporate american express card. Or is there any other bonus money available. Thanks for any info from a priceline newbie.

I am not Travelsheryl but........I'm an Canadian and I bid on priceline a couple of weeks ago for a hotel at the Buffalo Airport. Used a corporate Amex and got the $20.00 Amex bonus. I received the bill last week and we stayed there last Thurs. night. Absolutely no problem with it at all.

How do I use the bonus money. I can't seem to find the area to ask for it. Do I simply use a amex card number and it will register itself.

I went through a link given by Travelsheryl to FAQ on priceline. From there I found the bonus link. Try doing a search here for it. Also when you do use this link, make sure the bonus goes through, in other words, when you go to submit the final amount, make sure it shows your bonus added. The first time I bid I didn't notice it wasn't added but fortunately the bid wasn't accepted. I think this is covered in the priceline discussion site. I guess it doesn't always catch the bonus money to be added.

Another place you might try is through the Amex website. I think I heard that they have it listed there too.

Anyway I bid $35.00 plus the bonus for a bid of $55 for Buffalo Airport and got a 3* hotel directly across from the airport. We were very pleased. The hotel was not elegant but for $35 it did the trick.
