Question For Those Who Have Cars at WDW

Last time we had our car at WDW stayed at CR and used it only for AK and Typhoon Lagoon. Used it for DHS once but not again. If you leave in the middle of the day the car is HOT, the buses not.

We will be staying at the Beach Club for 9 nne days. One day, family that live in Florida will be coming to visit. We will be walking along the Boardwalk, eating dinner and probably spending a large portion of the evening in that area. If they are eating there, do they have to pay for parking or could we get a parking pass and "share?" I forgot to mention, we will not have a car, we will be using Disney transportation throughout the visit.

We decided to drive down to disney at the end of April. Airline is just too expensive and we can stay at the beach on the way home and still $300 less with gas, tolls, hotel, and food. We are staying at the French Quarter resort. If you stay on grounds can you drive to the parks and get free parking? I also plan to eat a couple of meals off site so just wondering how much of a hassle it is. Any advice or tips would be great. thanks.

For those staying at Shades of Green, if you pay the daily hotel parking rate ($5.00), that gets you free parking at all parks for the duration of your stay.

I have stayed at POP with a car a number of times.

I usually use the car to HS and EPCOT and find it faster than the bus.

However to MK, the bus is much better because it gets you close and you dont have to deal with monorail/ferry.

Last time we left MK, DW and DD took the bus and I went by car and they beat me back by 20-25 minutes.

With AK I took the car and parked in handicapped and found that it was really far away from the park entrance. But then again AK is so huge its difficult for someone with mobility problems.

One observation, if you stay at value resorts and take the bus, your stop always seems to be further away from the entrances than the expensive resorts bus stops. Not a complaint just an observation.
