Question for those who drive to Disney on 95 S

We like to stop for 1 night on our way to Disney just to rest before an early arrival at Disney. Can anyone tell me a clean economical hotel for this. Hotel prices are ridiculously high right now. It’s actually cheaper to just get a hotel in Orlando. We’re looking in the Jacksonville, or Daytona area. iWe dont want to stay ina rat trap. We usuall stay in a Marriott or a Hilton, but they’re just too expensive now.

I just stayed at “the Daytona” hotel by the race track it was really nice it’s a Marriott hotel and I was able to get it free on points. It had cool race cars in the lobby and a great bar. There a nice little town center area all around it with restaurants too.

They have had reasonable prices in the past. It is about 1.5 hour drive to WDW from there.

There are lower tiers of marriot and Hilton at jax. We usually stay there-hampton inn aloft springhill suites or Hyatt place. They tend to be lower priced than SAV and other areas of Jacksonville.
Also stayed at a nice Fairfield inn at plan coast.

try Priceline express deals. you will have more success in larger metropolitan areas like JAX. just make sure to book minimum 3 stars so you don't end up in a dump!

Bunch of hotels by the JAX airport right off 95 north of Jax. I would look there...
