How rare is a small (around 50 points) contract at BCV?

I am specifically looking for a Dec use year, but mainly I am curious about how often small contracts like that are listed.

I keep seeing huge contracts listed, and the few small contracts I see are all pending sale within a day.

Thanks!!

I wouldn't say "rare" but they don't appear often. Your best bet is to contact several of the most prominent brokers and make them aware of your specific requirements. The good ones will watch for new contracts matching your needs and let you know when they are available. You can have an offer and acceptance many times before the "listing" becomes public. Be prepared to offer full price (if reasonable of course) when "your" contract comes up and the deal will happen in no time. pixiedust:

Good to know! Thanks!

I have contacted 3 of the 'top sellers' in the past few days. I guess we'll see. I need to discuss this all with my DH, I need us to be on the same page about what we are looking to spend before something comes up so we can act quickly.

Thanks again! :goodvibes

This is excellent advice. I work with Sharon at Fidelity and she knew I was looking for a smallish (under 125-point) BLT contract and she emailed me before 4 80-point BLT contracts went up on the Web site. I had an agreement with the seller on one minutes after the site went live. :thumbsup2

I e-mailed several companies with my requirements when they didn't have anything suitable. I wanted BLT, a specific UY and 100-140 points. One came back with a great contract which we are now buying, one never responded at all and one came back with 300pts and a different UY, when I e-mailed back and politely explained our needs again I never had a response and I have since since 3 contracts on their site which would have fitted the bill so they potentialy lost a sale which seems a bit odd.

My advice would be to contact the compnaies but also to check the sites frequently as those small contracts seem to be snapped up almost immediately.

This is exactly the type of service that I think I will need because it's such a specific contract (and we're not in a hurry, so we are fine waiting for exactly what works for us)

I was mainly looking at the "top 2" companies that are mentioned here - but maybe I will contact Fidelity and ask for Sharon. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the recommendation!

We were looking for a June use year add on at SSR for 100 points or less, and it took about 4 months for something to come up. We ended up getting 100 points, we really would have rather got a little less maybe around 75. Regardless we got it, but it did take a while. I would say to just be patient and something in the point range you want will eventually pop up with your use year.

We purchased our first contract through Sharon and this method worked for us. However, I spoke with Sharon a few weeks ago about an add on and she mentioned that all listing have to be posted on the website. She didn't seem to be willing to "put me on the list" like she did before.

We have been looking for a 50 point add on for at least 9 months and haven't had anything come up. Between that and the closing costs we are thinking to purchase through Disney since the price difference is so small.
