My family and I will be staying at the PPH in December. I have been told that vacation planning can do all sorts of things to help make the visit more special. How many of you have used them, to have things delivered to the room? Do you remember how much certain items cost? I'm not looking for an exact figure, just a number that will help me budget. I'm already planning on asking for some signed pics for the kids, probably order some ears w/ an autograph book and maybe some other things. I thought maybe having some MM rice krispy treats delivered could be fun, maybe some other things.

Does anyone have an input on this or experience?
Kathy

If you call and ask them, they will send you an email with all of the info. Balloons and autographed black and white photos are free. Gift baskets with things like autograph books and ears were way to expensive in my opinion. I just bought them when we got to the park. Actually, they have them in the hotel gift shop as well. We had MM rice crispies in our room the first night, but we were paying for conc. service, so I think they were part of that.

VP is great I ordered gift baskets for my sons and what a hit they were! I will see if I can find my VP's name he was soo helpful, he e-mailed me a list of what was available! Call they are great help even with advice on where to eat and other things.

We have used them twice, and are again for our upcoming trip as well. The baskets are nice - but what we really have liked is the little snacks being there when we get back to the room. The balloons and photos are great as well.

We have ordered the special halloween buckets for the kids this time...

What kind of snacks did you have delivered to the room? I'm just trying to get a good idea of things that will make the stay more magical, but still somewhat on a budget. I would love to have little krispy treats delivered, but I don't want to spend like $30 for 4 of them.

Any info is appreciated,
Kathy

VP is awesome. We leave in 43 days and I have already ordered gift baskets, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered rice krispie treats, as well they are making all of our meal reservations and fingers crossed they will be making our fantasmic reservations. It is nice knowing someone else is making the calls for me!

When you order from Vacation Planning, do they give you a price for things like the krispy treats and strawberries? Also, do you pay now, or do they add it to your bill when you check out?

Sorry for all the questions,
Just trying to get my ducks in a row,
Kathy

We've ordered milk and (2)cookies, (4)chocolate covered strawberries and (2)mickey mouse rice crispy treats in the past. Each night's worth of treats was roughly $20 or under. You need to give them a credit card number now, although you don't actually get charged until delivery or at the end of your stay. We've also purchased the princess basket as well as the Mickey Mouse lunchbox and all were big hits with our kids. They normally can't wait to get back to our hotel room to see what Mickey left for them that night. Don't forget to ask for balloons and autograph pictures for check in through vacation planning. Those I believe are free and adds that special disney magic to a trip.

Hi Kathy,
Sorry I have absolutely no idea how much they were... it got charged through at the end of the trip and I can't say I really looked.

We had/are having cookies and milk (at the Grand they were amazing peanut butter and chocolate ones) and Mickey head half dipped in chocolate ones at the PP. We also had the rice krispy treats delivered - they are huge and half dipped in chocolate. This go around we are having 2 cookies and milk plus 2 rice krispie treats the first night.. so we will have leftovers through the week. Also we ordered 2 strawberries each - they are HUGE and dipped in two kinds of chocolate and then dressed up like little tuxedos and SOOOO good.

I know they can do a bunch of different things, you just have to ask. They will most likely tell you price of everything as well if you ask - me I just pay my credit cards off at the end of the month... don't look too closely ( and I know I really should be checking more carefully).

What is this vp you guys are talking about? Sounds great to me. WHere can I find the number? My dd2 and ds3 would love a surprise each night. do they deliver early enough? My kids go to bed around 8. (yes even in disney) This is our first trip so I am curious. Thanks for all the help.

We're going in December and can't wait to see what Christmas-time items they will offer. I hoping to order the Christmas tree and some stockings for the kids to be set up in the room when we arrive. Still waiting to hear back from VP, they told me that they are still finalizing the list for that time of year. If anyone hears from them please post asap.

The Mickey Rice Krispy Treats are $10.00 and with the room service charges they would be $15.22. The Choc. Covered Strawberries are $2.50 ea X's 12 = $30.00 and with the room service charges they would be $41.03.

This is right off the e-mail from Vacation Planning! Expensive yes, but we are going all the way on this trip!

We are going to DLH in a week we ordered baskets and pics, but the most impressive thing was I was able to sleep in and the people @ vacation planning made our fantasmic dessert reservations for me. It was so awesome because as you all know that can be a stressfull, tricky thing. They also made Blue Bayou and Goofy's kitchen. I was nervous too because we had our hotel reservations so far in advance I was afraid they might forget, but in true Disney fashion they came through w/out a hitch. :thumbsup2

Ok, I booked through AAA for 5 nights in December staying at the DLH. So can I use vacation planning? :confused3

Free balloons and black and white photos? Really :sunny:

Is that $10.00 for one Mickey Rice Krispy Treat?

You sure can! We booked through AAA and are staying at GCH. I arranged our dining, tours and a special surprise all through vacation planning. They are always so helpful and nice!

I honestly can't remember how many rice krispie treats it is for $10.00 as I was so excited that the person on the other end of the phone (Valerie Rendon) was taking care of all our reservations, baskets, special surprises that I don't remember how many treats per plate there will be.

Chad.A.Adams@disney.com is who I used he is super friendly and very knowledgeable :thumbsup2

Just thought I would add, I just emailed this individual and he does not work in the vacation planning department. He was very helpful and will be getting me someones email from that department. So it would probably be a good idea not to email this guy, although he was very nice about it.

Anyways....
Thanks for all the responses so far, any others and definitely welcome,
Kathy
