How long do they stay good???:confused3

I want to make a huge batch of them and hand them out as little gifts when people come over during the holidays. I'm just afraid w/the cream cheese they won't keep very long.

And I'm sure I'd have to keep them in the fridge until I hand them out......

Keeping them in the fridge, I'd say they'd last a week or so. Truthfully, they never lasted longer than that at my house...they always disappeared! LOL

What kind of chocolate are these dipped in??? Just melted chocolate chips???

They are always gone in a few days at my house too!! I am hoping to keep them to hand them out this time, I might need to hide them from myself.

I've only made them once---last year. I didn't use chocolate chips, I used (can't remember the name of it!!) but it was in big fat squares in the baking section. Came in white or chocolate......:headache:

Last year I stored them in the freezer.

I bought a package of mint oreos last night to try a batch with them.

:lmao: I was going to say the same thing--I've never had them sit around long enough to worry about them going bad.

I made a batch before Thanksgiving to take to my niece and to my sister for them to take home. All through dinner, my 4 yo great niece kept saying she wanted donuts for dessert. It took me forever to figure out that she was talking about the truffles. ;) She was VERY insistent that she had seen donuts and that was what she wanted.

hmmmmmmmmm

how long were they in the freezer? The cream cheese didn't get "grainy" when you took them out. A friend of mine thought they'd get "grainy" after the freezer.:confused3

I have had ones that were in my fridge about 3 weeks. They were still good. They were starting to look a little slimy, but they tasted just as fresh as the first day! :thumbsup2

We usually dip our Oreo balls in white chocolate and the Nutter Butter Balls in milk chocolate. (Same recipe - just swap the cookies)
