Yup, that's the only thing that worked for us! We've been married 27 years yesterday, and 3-4 years ago I started sleeping in another room. He balked about it at first, but then realized we BOTH could sleep better apart. We BOTH snore! We can sleep through our OWN snoring but not each other's!!
It doesn't mean we love each other any less, and we still "visit each other" from time to time....(wink wink) but we sleep so much better apart. Even in our camper we sleep apart. He has the bed, I sleep on the couch. The only time we sleep together is when we travel, if we have a king size bed. I take my sound machine and that helps some, but I still hear him some too. It's best when we get a suite and have a separate living area (where I sleep) and a separate bedroom for him. You might want to give separate bedrooms a try, and see if it works for you.
. A few days ago I got up in the morning and noticed my antique tray tables were missing from the dining room. I looked all over the house-no tray tables. DH comes into the kitchen and I ask him if he knows where they are. His response-there was a cricket in between the tables that was keeping him awake
I had 10 years of NO sleep, and when he would keep me up all night snoring, he would wake me up at 6:00 turning on ALL the lites and TV to get ready for work!
That did it for me, now I sleep with the cats in one room, and he sleeps with the Dog!
